On Tuesday, 30 September 2014, 40 Early Childhood Development students at the College of Cape Town, Gardens Campus attended a 1-day Work Readiness Workshop.
Some of the feedback from the students included:
- “I am a student at College of Cape Town. My name is Erna Lodewyk. I am very happy with your service. I applied at many places for a job, but I never heard from them after I have applied. I always wanted a part-time job at a clothing store and I guess this is my time to shine. Thank you for allowing me to do this experience I appreciate it.”
- “I found the MOT assessment very informative. I learnt about setting realistic goals and having expectations. After the session I felt motivated and inspired. The MOT facilitators were friendly and welcoming. Thank you so much for taking the time to encourage and equip us for future opportunities.” – Sage Parenzee
- “I’ve learnt a lot in the MOT sessions, this programme inspired me by giving me hope and understanding things I did not know. It helped me see a positive side of life and gave me hope as well as allowing me to think about my goals and achievements. My self-confidence has been lifted and I see light at the end of the tunnel. The programme really played a huge role in my life. For those few hours and minutes taking part, I’ve got hope and have a better view of things.” – Roeshdia Reynard N6
