To celebrate Mandela Day, as well as the organisation’s Courage to Care Day, MOT South Africa handed out a total of 1236 soccer shirts, shorts and bibs to soccer teams at Further Education and Training (FET) Colleges and High Schools across the Western Cape during July & August 2014. just to name a few of the beneficiaries Buren High School, COSAT High School, Fairmont Secondary School, Lavender Hill High School, Desmond Tutu Secondary School, IHlumelo Secondary School, Silikamva High School, Simons’ Town High School, South Peninsula High School, Spine Road High, Steenberg High School, Vusisizwe Senior Secondary School 2014. MOT SA received the donation of soccer kits from Emblem Football Club in Aalesund, Norway to celebrate COURAGE TO CARE Day during the month of July 2014.

False Bay College, Muizenberg Campus – Dare to Care July 2014 Campaign
Students from Muizenberg Campus decided to focus on abandoned animals this year. The SRC began promoting a pet food drive on campus by displaying posters on the notice boards as well as in classrooms. They also appealed to local businesses through donation letters asking for pet food donations which they would handover to TEARS on Mandela Day. The students also received a substantial donation from Pick and Pay with which they’ve purchased large bags of dog food. Three SRC members and four staff members visited the local TEARS kennels in Kommetjie and handed over the food donations and proceeded to spend their 67 minutes touring the kennels and feeding and caring for the animals.
False Bay College, Westlake Campus – Dare to Care July 2014 Campaign
Westlake Campus decided to run a Dare to Care Food Drive Campaign this year and donate contributions to the Ikhayelethu Day Care Centre in the Westlake Community. Staff and students brought donations and the official handover was held on 31 July 2014.
