MOT South Africa board welcomes two new members

At the last MOT South Africa Board meeting held on 16 July 2009 at Northlink College, Prof Eltie Links, chairperson of the Board, welcomed two new Board members, Prof. John Volmink and Brian Eagar. Both of them are exemplars of MOT’s motto of courage, caring and humility.

Prof. John Volmink is a theoretician and professor of mathematics. He is also the chairperson of the Umalusi Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training in South Africa and the Principal and CEO of Cornerstone Christian College. Prof. Volmink looks forward to playing an active part in helping FET Colleges and MOT South Africa reach their goals, especially in making students feel valued.

Brian Eagar has worked with Siemens both locally and internationally over the years. On returning to South Africa he launched Towerstone Consulting, an organisational and leadership development consulting company.

Part of Towerstone’s corporate social investment is a project called Heart Start. This project works with disadvantaged children at the SOS villages. Mr Eagar feels a deep affinity with MOT’s philosophies.
