MOT coaches, Siyathemba Soji, Anele Mpele and Young MOTivator, Aurelio Jao’o, attended the NYDA Conference which took place in Gauteng from Monday, 29 May 2017 to Wednesday, 31 May 2017.
There were officials from the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), Flanders Government and the Deputy Minister in the Presidency, to encourage youth to do volunteer work.
The conference was officially opened on Tuesday, 30 May 2017 by Mr Sifiso Mtsweni, the Chairperson of the NYDA Board of Directors. The Minister of Culture, Youth and Media Affairs, Honourable Sven Gatz, gave an overview of the cooperation between South Africa and The Flanders Government in Belgium to promote and up-scale youth volunteering in civil society organisations in South Africa.
The CEO of NYDA, Mr Khathu Ramakumba, introduced the Deputy Minister in the Presidency, DPME Honourable Buti Manamela, to encourage the youth to promote access to quality education and skills, to both youth who are in and out of schools.
