This year’s theme is “The Courage to Take Opportunities” – a bold message that encourages young people to recognise everyday chances to have the Courage to Live, lead, grow, and create impact, even when it feels uncomfortable or uncertain.
We believe youth need more than motivation—they need real preparation. These events are designed to help young people transition into adulthood with practical skills, confidence, and courage.
This inspiring gathering brings together Grade 10–12 learners and educators to celebrate the potential and power of youth—and to prepare them with the courage and tools they need for the world of work.

First launched in 2024, Voices of Courage was created to uplift and inspire young people to find and use their own voices courageously. The initiative began with a successful partnership with Tyger Valley Cares, an initiative of Tyger Valley Shopping Centre, to provide our young people with valuable life lessons, encouragement, and the confidence to use their Voices of Courage.
The success of that event affirmed what we already knew: young people thrive when they are seen, heard, and empowered.
This year, we’re proud to partner with the City of Cape Town, whose commitment to youth development and positive leadership is at the heart of this collaboration with the goal of equipping our youth with the skills and tools to be able to navigate as youth and into adulthood and the world of work.
Together, we’re creating a warmer and safer space for youth to build resilience, self-efficacy, and to boldly step into their futures.
