We are excited to share news about an important new partnership between MOT South Africa and the Positive Behaviour Intervention and Resource Centre (PBIRC) in Wynberg. This partnership with the Positive Behaviour Programme as a Western Cape Education Department (WCED) focus is aimed at empowering the youth within our community.

This project will take place in ten schools in the Athlone and Management community: Mount View Secondary School, Silverstream School of Skills, Easter Peak Primary School, Rylands High School, Bonteheuwel High School, Ned Doman High School, Spes Bona High School, Rhodes High School, Saltriver Secondary School, and Vista High School. These schools will be part of an exciting journey with the MOT programme.

What is the MOT Programme?

MOT is a global life-skills programme that focuses on building three types of courage in young people. These are also our core values:

  1. Courage to Live: Encouraging students to be themselves, make good choices, and follow their dreams.
  2. Courage to Care: Teaching kindness, respect, and empathy, so students can make a positive difference in their communities.
  3. Courage to Say No: Helping students stand strong against peer pressure and make decisions that are right for them.

Through fun activities like group discussions, games, and role-playing, the MOT programme helps students grow into confident and responsible leaders. The goal is to create a positive school environment where everyone feels supported and encouraged to be their best.

What This Means for the Schools

Over the next few months, students in these ten schools will have the chance to take part in the MOT programme. They will learn important life skills, build their confidence, and develop into leaders who can make a positive impact in their schools and communities.

We are excited to see the difference this programme will make in the lives of the students, and we look forward to working with WCED, teachers, and students to create a bright future together.

Join Us for the Launch

We will be hosting an official launch of this project within the coming months. At this event, we will introduce the programme, explain its goals, and discuss the positive changes we hope to see in each school. For more information, please contact us at info@mot.org.za.
