“People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing.” This quote perfectly encapsulates the heart of the ECD Practitioner Programme we’ve hosted, where fun and learning came together through our experiential learning approach.

On 16 April 2025, a group of passionate and eager young students from the College of Cape Town, Crawford Campus were trained in a session that was not only educational but also energetic and deeply engaging.

Through the dynamic “Learn and Play” concept, these aspiring practitioners had the chance to bring theory into practice.

They stepped confidently into the shoes of educators, designing and delivering playful learning experiences that bridged the gap between adulthood and childhood.

This hands-on approach allowed them to explore their creativity, connect with one another, and, most importantly, fall in love with the teaching profession.

Their enthusiasm and innovation were evident in every activity, proving that the future of education is bright and full of promise. These aspiring teachers are not only gaining the tools they need—they are becoming the kind of educators who will inspire and nurture generations to come.

As we reflect on the training held, we celebrate the passion, energy, and commitment these students have shown.

Thank you, College of Cape Town, for trusting us with this group of individuals. With hearts full of purpose and a spirit of fun, they are well on their way to becoming the exceptional practitioners our early childhood education system needs.
