MOT South Africa Named Leading Champions of Positive Youth Development 2026 – South Africa

MOT South Africa is proud to announce that it has been named Leading Champions of Positive Youth Development 2026 – South Africa in the Corporate LiveWire Global Awards 2026/27.

The award recognises organisations that are making a meaningful difference in the lives of others through excellence, innovation, and lasting impact. For MOT South Africa, the recognition is especially significant as the organisation celebrates 18 years of empowering young people across South Africa.

Since 2008, MOT South Africa has worked in schools and communities throughout the country, equipping young people with the confidence, mental resilience, and life skills needed to navigate challenges and make positive choices. Through its values-based programmes, the organisation has helped thousands of learners develop a stronger sense of self-worth and become active contributors to their schools, families, and communities.

The Corporate LiveWire Global Awards attract nominations from around the world, with winners selected following a comprehensive evaluation process. Organisations are assessed on criteria including innovation, service excellence, sustainability, and overall impact within their field.

MOT South Africa was recognised for its continued commitment to positive youth development and its work in creating safe and supportive environments where young people can thrive.

“This award is a wonderful affirmation of the work that has been taking place in schools and communities across South Africa for the past 18 years,” said Viola Manuel, Country Director of MOT South Africa. “At MOT, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances. We are proud of the impact our programme has had and grateful to the many partners, educators, volunteers, and supporters who have helped us reach and inspire so many young people along the way.”

Central to the MOT Programme are its three core values: Courage to Live, Courage to Care, and Courage to Say No. These values encourage young people to build healthy relationships, make responsible decisions, and develop the confidence to stand by their principles.

As part of this achievement, MOT South Africa has been featured in the Corporate LiveWire Global Awards Winners Guide 2026/27, showcasing the organisation’s work and impact to an international audience.

While the award marks an important milestone, MOT South Africa remains focused on its mission of empowering young people to believe in themselves, care for others, and make positive choices that contribute to a brighter future.

Eighteen years after launching in South Africa, MOT continues to demonstrate the power of investing in young people and building communities where every young person has the opportunity to succeed.
