Project 2: Youth Leadership Programme in partnership with Scatec
The project in Burgersdorp began with a proposal by Sanelisiwe Sikweyiya, a former MOT Youth and now a trained MOT Coach.
After experiencing the positive impact of the MOT programme during a 6-month Youth Leadership Program with MOT through Scatec, Sanelisiwe wanted to bring these benefits to her community. Her proposal led to the launch of a 3-year MOT project in Burgersdorp, Eastern Cape, which has achieved wonderful results.
Key Results:
- Over 200 students at Eureka Primary, Mzimkhulu Primary, and Ethembeni High School in Burgersdorp graduated from the MOT programme.
- 40 MOT Coaches were trained to sustain and grow the programme
